Southend Community Association plant new trees

40 more boulevard trees to enhance Haliburton Street

Summary

The Southend Community Association, with assistance from the City of Nanaimo, began planting 40 boulevard trees on Haliburton Street Saturday, November 8th beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the corner of Haliburton and Needham Streets. The purchase of the new trees, consisting of ornamental cherry trees (Prunus Kwanzan), is being funded through Tree Canada and BC Hydro's Regreening Program.
