The announcement from May 25, 2021 from the Provincial Government is very exciting! The City of Nanaimo, Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture is looking forward to increasing our levels of service that are in compliance with the phased re-start plan and current Provincial Health Orders.

As of June 15 (Phase 2 of the BC Restart Plan), indoor sports are permitted, such as scrub hockey sessions, increased fitness options are available and parent participation classes are back. For the latest information on our programs, please see our online Summer Activity Guide.

Please be patient with us as we interpret and seek clarification on the re-opening guidelines. We will communicate updates on the City of Nanaimo website and Facebook page.

We look forward to welcoming you back into our facilities to take part in our programs and events!
