Plumbing Permit and Service Connections (Storm, Sanitary, Sewer) Permit

A  permit is required for installation of plumbing fixtures or service connections that are not already a part of a building permit for a project. The installation of new plumbing or plumbing changes are typically included in a building permit application.

A homeowner is allowed to do their own plumbing if the owner resides at that location, depending on the complexity of the installation. If the isometric drawing supplied with the permit application does not show a complete understanding of the Plumbing Code, the services of a certified plumber will be required.

A plumbing declaration form is to be completed by the person doing the plumbing work and must be submitted prior to the first plumbing inspection.

Fire Suppression System (Sprinklers)

Sprinklers are not required if the construction results in only single dwelling units on the property.
