Bowen Park Picnic Shelter – Lower (by River) â–¼

*Picnic shelters require 7 days notice to book.*

There are two covered picnic shelters located within the 36 hectare park. This shelter is located near the river and is close to the sand volleyball courts and curling club, with access off Wall Street.

Important Information:

  • Vehicle access not permitted
  • Short-term loading area available
  • Electrical boxes require key (deposit required)
  • Water tap available March–October
  • Washrooms open April 1 – Oct 31 (8:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
  • Alcohol not permitted

Electrical & key:

  • One high-energy appliance at a time
  • Key arranged through allocation clerk
  • Leave site clean and remove garbage

Amenities:

  • Electricity
  • Free parking
  • Picnic tables
  • Shade
  • Shelter
  • Trail

Facility Hours:
Daily: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Fees:
Youth Non-Profit: $8.24/hr
Not-for-Profit: $13.19/hr

This shelter is located nearest the outdoor pool and lawn bowling greens.

Important Information:

  • Electrical box available (key required)
  • Water available March–October
  • No washrooms directly at shelter
  • Propane BBQs only
  • Alcohol not permitted

  • Key arranged through allocation clerk
  • Leave site clean
