Home Energy Navigator program
Are you looking for support in undertaking energy improvements in your home? Would you like to access government and utility rebates and financing incentives? If so, sign up for the new Home Energy Navigator program.
The Home Energy Navigator program is now available for City of Nanaimo residents. This free program supports homeowners with upgrading their heating source and/or the home's overall energy efficiency through building envelope upgrades. This program provides direct one-on-one support throughout the home energy improvements, including accessing rebates.
Services provided include:
- Virtual home energy consultation and reports
- One-on-one consultation with an energy expert
- Help to select a contractor and review contractor quotes
- Customized retrofit roadmap
- Help reviewing EnerGuide reports
- Rebate information, including:
- Customized rebate application guide
- Availability and amount of rebates
- Review of required documentation for applications
- Verification of eligibility
- Regular check-ins to ensure progress when needed
- Help on an as-needed basis
