User Rates Estimator

Want to know how your user rates bill might change if your water use increases or decreases? Or curious about the impact of adding an additional dwelling unit such as a secondary suite? Our user rates estimator can help you get an approximate idea of your charges based on the criteria below.

The default rates used in this calculator are effective January 1, 2026. To estimate using 2025 rates, select the appropriate year from the “Year to Calculate” drop-down menu.

Please note that this calculator assumes the property receives water, sewer, and garbage services.

Sorry this calculator only works for residential currently but if you have questions please contact User Rates 250-755-4525 ext. 2 userrates.info@nanaimo.ca.

This is the number of "dwelling units" at the property . For example if you have a house with a suite, you have 2 units. This calculator assumes one water meter. If your property has two meters then select 1 unit and calculate each usage separately.

This calculator currently only works for 1-4 units please contact User Rates 250-755-4525 ext. 2 userrates.info@nanaimo.ca.
