Refund/Transfer Credit Request

  • Taxpayers can request to have a credit balance on their account refunded or transferred to another account, except for property tax payments made through the Tax Installment Plan which are non-refundable as set out in the terms of that plan.
  • In the event of a sale of a property, tax and user rates prepayments are to remain on the account established for that property and responsibility for any adjustment shall be between the vendor and the purchaser.
  • Refund cheques will be mailed to the mailing address on this form and may take up to 6 weeks to process.
  • The refund cheque will be made out to all registered owners. Exceptions will be made if all registered owners agree to it in writing to the City.
  • Refunds are subject to an administrative fee as set out in the Fees & Charges Bylaw.
