CAD Standards

The CAD Drafting Standards for the City of Nanaimo have been incorporated into the Manual of Engineering Standards and Specifications (MOESS) as Section 1.0 and form part of the Subdivision Bylaw. The CAD Standards are for use by engineering professionals designing infrastructure within the City Right-of-Ways, such as roads, utilities, and land development projects. This includes capital works undertaken by City of Nanaimo forces or its agents.

The CAD template is compatible with 2018 to 2023 releases of Autodesk Civil 3D. We encourage the submission of Civil 3D files to take advantage of the attribute opportunities within the software for updating GIS and Asset Management data.
