Water Fill Stations

The City of Nanaimo Water Fill Stations are provided as a favourable community service to aid neighbouring residents and businesses that are deficient with potable water.

They are not considered an essential service and are available to provide support relief, at cost, of supplying treated potable water.

Locations

The City has two water filling stations located at:

  • Labieux Road, Nanaimo
  • Chartwell Road at MacMillan Road, Cedar

Instructions on how to use the water filling stations are shown on the water filling station reference guide and in the Frequently Asked Questions (see links below).

Note: All of the dispensing ports are fitted with a A200 (stainless) 2 inch male grooved camlock hose connection. Please ensure that you have the correctly sized female camlock coupler (with arms) to connect your hose to the dispensing port.

The City of Nanaimo is not responsible for the quality of water once it leaves the water filling station.

When using either Labieux Road or Chartwell Road water filling stations users are requested that they do not leave their truck or vehicle engine idling when filling up or waiting in line as local noise by-laws are in effect. Noise complaints will be investigated and reported to local by-law officials.  Failure to comply to the noise by-laws may result in time restraints being but on individual or businesses FOB card(s).
