Mobile Food Vending

The City of Nanaimo offers designated year-round on-street and City park food vending locations for the operation of mobile food trucks, trailers and carts.   Private property vending is also allowed on properties where restaurant use is permitted.

Park locations

City park locations can be booked by approved food vendors up to two months in advance. Information on park locations, scheduling and availability can be found in the following publications:

Street locations

Private property locations

Food vending is also permitted on private property as long as the property is in a zone that permits restaurant use.  Current examples of appropriate private property food vendor locations are Home Depot and Canadian Tire.  Some conditions apply so please contact us if this is of interest to you.
