POOL PROGRAM SCHEDULES
At this time, due to a shortage of lifeguards, swim instructors and aquafit instructors, we are only able to offer a limited number of aquatic programs with capacity limits in place. Your continued patience is appreciated as we work towards hiring and training new staff.

POOLS
With a variety of public drop-in swimming and aquafit times available, swimming lessons, aquatic training and water sports for children, youth and adults, it is easy to understand why Nanaimo's pools are so popular! Aquatic programs and events are held at:
Beban Pool
Located within the larger Beban Park complex, Beban Pool includes a leisure pool area with spray features and lazy river, a tot pool, aquacise pool, a 25 metre length pool, water slide, hot tub, steam room and 1 metre and 3 metre diving boards. Overlooking the pool deck is a weight room with both free weights and stationary fitness equipment.

Nanaimo Aquatic Centre
The Nanaimo Aquatic Centre is home to one of the largest wave pools in western Canada and is one of the Island's busiest 50 metre pools. NAC, as it is commonly referred to, is a great destination for all ages and a fun place for families looking for an active outing together. It houses three water slides, a fun, interactive fishing boat water feature with a slide and a climbing net, a large hot tub, sauna and steam room and 1 metre and 3 metre diving boards. Open now with limited availability.

Westwood Lake Park
During the summer, Nanaimo's premier park becomes the ultimate destination. Lifeguards are on duty daily and special events, programs and swimming lessons take place here.
