City of Nanaimo Hires Director of Engineering and Public Works

Summary

The City of Nanaimo is pleased to welcome Geoff Goodall as the new Director of Engineering and Public Works. Geoff was hired after an extensive competition that was initiated after the retirement of the previous Director.

Geoff Goodall has been the General Manager of Planning and Operations at the City of Williams Lake for the last 6 years, prior to which he was the Director of Development Services for 2 years. During his tenure as the General Manager, he also performed the role of Acting CAO. Prior to that Geoff was part owner of an engineering consulting firm specializing in utility design and project management. Geoff has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Western Ontario and has his Professional Engineer designation.

Geoff is excited about his move to Nanaimo from Williams Lake and the opportunities to fish and get out on the water that Nanaimo area offers.
