City facilities closed September 30, no changes to curbside collection

On September 30, the City of Nanaimo will recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, honouring First Nations, Inuit and Metis residential school survivors, their families and communities.

City facilities, including City Hall, the Service and Resource Centre and recreation facilities, will be closed on this day. Arenas will remain open for previously booked ice rentals but all public drop-in sessions are cancelled.

Garbage/recycling curbside collection will still take place so there will be no disruption to the scheduled collection dates.
