2026 Concerts in the Park Application

Please note that submissions will be received for the 2026 season from January 2 to February 8, 2026.

We are looking for talented musicians to perform during Concerts in the Park 2026!  Preference will be given to local Nanaimo artists, but we welcome submissions from all regions.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • A mix of genres – folk, rock, jazz, pop, indie, country, classical… surprise us!
  • Musicians of all ages and styles – from fresh faces to seasoned pros
  • Solo acts, duos, full bands – everyone’s welcome!

Information for 2026:

  • Concerts in the Park will be hosted between May and August 2026, however we often look at applicants from this list for other Parks, Recreation and Culture Special Events or performance opportunities.
  • Performer(s) are required to supply all necessary equipment to complete the performance. Parks, Recreation and Culture can supply power, an extension cord and tent if needed.
  • Due to the volume of applications received, only shortlisted applicants will be contacted. 
  • Kindly provide links to media sites for review of your music.  Please note that Cloud Drive links cannot be accessed by our staff.
  • Should you or your group be selected, individuals engaged in City of Nanaimo Special Event programs are asked to commit to the City’s Policy C4.2 Equity and Inclusivity.

Performance Group Size

Our 2026 fee structure is based on the number of performers in your group. Please let us know if you have flexibility in group size, as some performance locations are better suited for smaller or larger ensembles. Indicating your options will help us match you with the most appropriate venue.

Amplification/Power

Performer(s) are required to supply all necessary equipment to complete the performance. Parks, Recreation and Culture can supply power and an extension cord if needed.  Please select an option below to indicate your power requirements:
