Concerts in the Park are back this summer
13 artists featured at 11 concerts in a variety of local parks

Summary
The City of Nanaimo Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture has announced the schedule for the 2025 Concerts in the Park series. These free concerts showcase a variety of musical talent against the backdrop of some of Nanaimo's most beautiful parks.
Concert-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of music genres, including jazz, rock, big band, blues, country, celtic and more. Audience members are reminded to bring a chair or a blanket and to dress for the weather. All concerts are from 6-7 pm unless otherwise indicated.
The schedule is as follows:
- Sunday, May 11, 1-2 pm, Colliery Dam Park as part of Family Fishing Day: Andrew Janusson (Jazz)
- Friday, May 30, Bowen Park Amphitheatre: Elise Boulanger & Band (Cinematic Indie-Folk)
- Wednesday, June 11, Kin Park at Departure Bay: NEAVV (Alternative Synth Pop)
- Friday, June 27, Maffeo Sutton Park as part of Food Truck Friday: Exit 30 (Rock)
- Friday, June 27, 7:15-8:15 pm, Maffeo Sutton Park as part of Food Truck Friday: Joel Lee (Country Rock)
- Wednesday July 9, Mansfield Park: Son de Metal (Traditional Mexican/Rock)
- Friday, July 18, Deverill Square Park: Snow Sailing (Alternative Rock)
- Wednesday, July 30, Harewood Centennial Park as part of Family Fun Night: Clanna Morna (Celtic Folk/Irish)
- Wednesday, August 6, Bowen Amphitheatre: Truth (Multidisciplinary Artist)
- Tuesday, August 12, McGregor Park: Gosia Hagen Trio (Big Band)
- Friday, August 22, Maffeo Sutton Park as part of Food Truck Friday and Family Fun Night: Moonshine Mollys (Vocal Harmonies)
- Friday, August 22, 7:15-8:15 pm, Maffeo Sutton Park as part of Food Truck Friday and Family Fun Night: Lazy Mike & The Argyle Jets (Rock/Blues)
- Wednesday, August 27, Westwood Lake Park as part of End of Summer Splash: Kevin's Bacon (Classic, 90s and Current Rock)

Parking is limited at many parks, so citizens are encouraged to use alternative transportation when possible.
