Weber Street & Bruce Avenue Area Utility Upgrades C1485
Project Description
The Weber Street & Bruce Avenue Area Utility Upgrades Project consists of:
The replacement of watermain with the installation of approximately 900m of 200mm dia. PVC pipe, associated fittings, service connections and tie-ins
The replacement of sanitary sewer with the installation of approximately 80m of pipe, associated fittings, service connections and tie-ins
The replacement of storm sewer with the installation of approximately 35m of pipe, 2 manholes, associated fittings, service connections and tie-ins
Repair and restoration of the associated lengths of road including approx. 2880m2 of paving
The work area is divided into 3 zones as follows:
Zone 1: Weber St from Howard Ave to Bruce Ave
Zone 2: Glen Cres from Weber St through the walkway and Plecas Cres to Ninth St
Zone 3: Bruce Ave from Ninth St to Mulberry Dr
General Considerations
Typical hours of work for this project will be Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, no work after hours and weekends are expected unless responding to an emergency.
Eastbound lane on Weber Street will be closed during work hours, westbound lane will be open to local traffic and only closed to facilitate road crossings and tie-ins.
The walkway from Glen Crescent to Plecas Crescent will be closed during construction
Single lane alternating traffic on Bruce Avenue will be in place during work hours.
Construction noise and vibration should be expected during working hours.
Residents and businesses will be notified 24 hours in advance of any scheduled water shutdowns.
Anticipate traffic pattern changes.
If you live in the area and have young children, please advise them of the dangers of construction and the limited visibility of heavy equipment and trucks
Landscape restoration will be done at the end of the project.
Construction Value: $1,145,358.00
Estimate Construction Start Date: December 14, 2023
Estimate Construction Completion Date: April 15, 2024
