Parking Ticket or Bylaw Violation Dispute

If you wish to have a City of Nanaimo Bylaw ticket reviewed, please complete the Bylaw Ticket Review Form below within 14 days from when your ticket was issued. You can do this online, by mail, or in person.

Save yourself a trip to the City’s Service and Resource Centre and have your bylaw ticket reviewed online using the fillable form below and attaching any supporting documentation.

Supporting documentation can include photos or proof of payment such as a receipt for parking.

You can also print this Bylaw Ticket Review Form and submit it with any supporting documentation by mail or in person.

Drop off in person: Service and Resource Centre (SARC) 411 Dunsmuir Street, weekdays from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Response Time

Your bylaw ticket review form will be processed in the order it was received. The amount owing will remain on hold until the review process is completed. Please note a paid ticket or a ticket in collections cannot be reviewed.

Adjudication

If you disagree with the outcome of the review, you can proceed to adjudication. The adjudication process involves a secondary review of your parking ticket at a scheduled hearing at the Service and Resource Centre by a City of Nanaimo representative and an independent adjudicator who is assigned by the Province of British Columbia.
