Summary
The City of Nanaimo is pleased to partner with Coast Capital Savings for the delivery of one sponsored skating and swimming session each month throughout the year. Two Fridays per month at a variety of arena and pool locations the City will play host to these free drop-in sessions.

This program assists the city in delivering its mission of preserving and enhancing quality of life in Nanaimo through efficient, effective, affordable delivery of services.
Key Points
- Free swim and skate sessions are provided once per month and will continue up to February 2018.
- Family Swim sessions in July and August will take place at the Kin Pool in Bowen Park.
- Free skating sessions will take place in the Nanaimo Ice Centre and include free skate and helmet rentals.
- With its focus on youth, eliminating barriers and community building, Coast Capital Savings has contributed a $10,000 sponsorship towards the free skate and swim sessions.
