City Accepting Applications for 2017 Culture and Heritage Grants

Deadline for submission is Monday, 2016-OCT-24 at 4:00pm

Summary

The City of Nanaimo is now accepting applications from community organizations seeking financial assistance to support their cultural organization or events. Two grants are available to local non-profit organizations:

-- 2017 Culture and Heritage Operating Grants

-- 2017 Culture and Heritage Project Grants

Guidelines, criteria and application forms can be found on the City's website (www.nanaimo.ca > Departments > Culture and Heritage > Culture and Heritage Grants), attached to this news release, in person at the Service & Resource Centre (411 Dunsmuir Street), or by contacting the Community and Cultural Planning Department directly. The deadline for application submission is Monday, October 24, 2016 no later than 4:00 p.m.

Strategic Link: These programs support Cultural Vitality, one of the four pillars of the 2012-2015 Corporate Strategic Plan. As well, they support the 2014-2020 Cultural Plan for a Creative Nanaimo's strategy to support ongoing and stable core funding to non-profit arts and cultural organizations to enable them to leverage funding from other sources.
