Part of Nanaimo Museum's Hockey Exhibit Coming to Frank Crane Arena

Loonie Skating Session Offered for the Community to Celebrate Hockey

The City of Nanaimo, Parks, Recreation and Culture Department is pleased to partner with Nanaimo Museum for a special skating session as part of the museum's hockey exhibit on display until November 24.

This special skating session is a great way to celebrate all things hockey - which to many people is the sport that defines us as Canadians. Not only is hockey a great part of our culture, but it has shaped our history and is loved by Canadians from coast to coast.

Besides enjoying a $1 skating session, participants can meet players from major local teams, get autographs from team members and find out what's new and trending in the hockey scene.

"We are excited to be part of this hockey exhibit with Nanaimo Museum. After all, Nanaimo's passion for hockey is part of what brings our community together regardless of age, gender or ethnic background," says Gary Paterson, Arenas Coordinator with the City of Nanaimo.

This special hockey session at Frank Crane Arena will be held on Tuesday, September 24 from 6:30-8 pm. Admission is only $1 for everyone.
