Complete burning ban effective Wednesday, August 17th at noon

Summary
The Province of British Columbia has placed a ban on campfires. The City of Nanaimo will follow suit with a complete burning ban (including cooking fires) effective Wednesday August 17th, beginning at noon.
The following are permitted: cooking devices fueled by propane, natural gas, naptha, kerosene, charcoal briquets or electricity such as barbecues, grills, smokers, portable or fixed campfire devices. It is important to ensure briquets are fully extinguished after use.
