City offers free family fun in the sun with the Summer Playground Program

Summary

The City of Nanaimo Parks, Recreation and Environment department invites children between the ages of 5 to 12 years old and their parents to participate in the Summer Playground Program from July 6 to August 28. This free program running Monday to Friday is fun for the whole family and includes music, crafts, games and Science in the Park with Nanaimo Science and Sustainability Society.

The program runs July 6 to August 28 at Harewood Mining Community Water Park Mondays through Fridays from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm; July 6 to August 25 at Carmanah Park and Fairview Community School on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm; July 6 to August 28 at Mansfield Park on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm; and July 9 to August 28 at Rockridge Park and Country Hills Park on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
