5 Small Fires in last six hours

Summary

Fire crews and Prevention Officers have been to 5 separate small fires in the last 6 hour period. Initial investigations have determined that the fires were intentionally set. 3 of the fires were rubbish fires and the other 2 were set in landscape areas. Nanaimo Fire Rescue has contacted RCMP as part of the investigation. If anyone has any information regarding these fires please contact the Fire Department.
