Harewood Centennial Park to Get New (and Improved) Playground

Summary

The playground area in Harewood Centennial Park will undergo upgrades and improvements as part of an overall Park Improvement Plan. During the planning process, public input indicated the need for year-round children's play areas in the park. In this phase, the park will see expanded playground areas with new play features and playground area, additional play features in the existing playground, new fencing, paved pathways and additional parking closer to the lacrosse boxes.

Initial work has already started and installation of the new playground equipment is expected to begin mid-March. The playground is expected to be open for the public's enjoyment in June.
