Public Input Sessions Scheduled for Beban Park Master Plan

Summary

In an ongoing effot to update and improve Nanaimo’s parks system, the City of Nanaimo Parks, Recreation and Environment department is hosting two open houses to review the draft Beban Park Master Plan update. The open houses are intended as an opportunity for residents to provide feedback on the Draft Master Plan for Beban Park. The draft plan presents a framework for future improvements within this central 130-acre recreation hub over the next 20 years.

Residents are encouraged to stop by the Beban Park Social Centre on Wednesday, September 24th, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday, October 4th, 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm to share their thoughts and ideas. The draft plan, information boards, staff and a survey will be available at each session. Proposals to develop a batting cage and velodrome on the park will also be explored.

Park users and residents unable to attend the open houses can find the draft master plan information online at www.nanaimo.ca.
