Rise and Report

Maciek Dobrowolski was appointed to the Board of Variance for a three-year term.
Section 7a

Reports

Council approved a 60-year lease of City-owned land located at 354 Haliburton Street to the Provincial Housing Corporation (“BC Housing”) to facilitate BC Housing’s construction of an outdoor amenity space and two parking stalls, complementing a supportive housing project at 355 Nicol Street.
Section 12a

Council discharged a Section 219 covenant and issued a Development Permit for 355 Nicol Street, to allow for a six-storey supportive housing development.
Section 12b

Council directed staff to update conditions of a Temporary Use Permit for 364 Haliburton Street to remove “social service resource centre” and then issued the permit to allow an office for a three-year period. A Development Variance Permit was then issued, reducing the required parking from four spaces to zero.
Section 12c

Council issued a Development Permit for 1044 Old Victoria Road, to allow for a mini storage development.
Section 12d

Council issued a Development Permit for 529 Terminal Avenue North, to amend a previous permit issued for a multi-family residential building and allow for a parking variance.

Bylaw & Policy Updates

"Officer Designation and Delegation of Authority Amendment Bylaw 2025 No. 7353.04" was adopted.
Section 13a

The Council Policy (COU-246) – “Consideration of Variances Policy" was endorsed.
Section 14a

Correspondence

Council received correspondence from Sydney Robertson, Chair of the South End Community Association, regarding a request to club the Hub.
