Climate Resiliency Public Engagement Working Group
The Environment Committee will be establishing a working group aimed to prepare a plan on how the City can communicate and engage with the public regarding climate resiliency.

Development Around Nanaimo
A Development Permit has been issued for 3258 Stephenson Point Rd., to allow for the construction of a single residential dwelling within the watercourse setback.
Section 10a

A four-way stop will be installed at the intersection of Bastion Street and Commercial Street, replacing the current traffic signals which are at the end of their functional life.
Section 10c

Revised Public Hearing Schedule
The dates for Public Hearings in 2020 have been revised in order to accommodate public input on as many development applications as possible. The new dates are: July 23, September 17, October 22, November 19 and December 17.

City’s Role in Health and Housing
A draft position statement on defining the City’s role in health and housing was referred to staff for review and comment.
