A Rezoning application for 2393 Barclay Road, to facilitate two-lot subdivision, passed third reading.

Section 5a

A Rezoning application for 6201 Blueback Road, to allow a liquor store as a site-specific use to be located in the existing building, passed third reading.
Section 6a

A Rezoning application and Official Community Plan Amendment Application for 456 Milton Street, to allow for seven residential units and to rezone from R14 (Old City Low Density Fourplex Residential) to R15 (Old City Medium Density Residential), passed third reading.

Section 7a

An Official Community Plan Amendment Application for 1200 Frew Road, 1560 & 1650 Island Highway South (Sandstone Master Plan) passed third reading. Highlights of the proposed updates to the Sandstone Master Plan include:

  • redistributing the location of residential development;
  • eliminating estate lot residential land use;
  • reducing the amount of commercial development and eliminating regional commercial as a land use;
  • increasing the amount of light industrial; 
  • introducing industrial as a land use; and,
  • providing an alternative parks and open space plan
