Project Description

• Preconstruction prep work performed periodically onsite before the start date.
• Installation of a new watermain on Departure Bay Road, from Doctors Road to Strongitharm Road.
• Minor Sanitary Sewer work on Departure Bay Road.

General Considerations

• Typical hours of work for this project will be Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30PM, with work after hours and weekends as required.
• Single lane Alternating traffic will be in place for the water main construction & 7am to 530pm
• Construction noise and vibration should be expected during working hours.
• Residents and businesses will be notified 24 hours in advance of any scheduled water shutdowns.
• Anticipate traffic pattern changes -For the Sanitary portion there will be a detour in place from 7am to 530pm (1 Day)
• If you live in the area and have young children, please advise them of the dangers of construction and the limited visibility of heavy equipment and trucks
• Landscape restoration will be done at the end of the project.
