Fire Station #1
A project update was presented to Council regarding Fire Station #1, including progress to date and next steps. 
Section 7 a

Development around Nanaimo
Development Variance Permits were issued for 903 Park Avenue and 917 Park Avenue.
Section 10 a,b

A rezoning application for 111 Terminal Avenue, to allow a cannabis retail store, passed two readings. A third reading will be considered once a community contribution has been secured.
Section 10 c

Council approved a Revitalization Tax Exemption for a proposed eight-unit multi-family rental building at 531 Kennedy Street. This program was established to encourage commercial and multi-family development in the downtown core.
Section 10 d

Department of National Defence lands
Correspondence will be sent from Mayor and Council to the Department of National Defence (DND) requesting a meeting with representatives of recreational user groups with the intention of reaching a use agreement for access to land owned by DND.
