Curbside collection services

We are here to help with services, facilities, and tools to make recycling, composting, and garbage easy for residents with curbside collection. Not only does sorting used materials help keep Nanaimo beautiful, it also reduces pressure on the limited space in the Region's landfill.

Help Nanaimo use less paper. Sign up to stop receiving the mailed 2027 curbside collection calendar and use the Nanaimo Recycles app instead. With the app, you can view your collection calendar, get reminders by phone or email, and print your own calendar at home.

If you do not opt out, a printed calendar will still be mailed to you.

Complete the Collection Calendar opt out form to stop your 2027 Calendar mail-out.

Thanks for helping to reduce paper use. If you haven't already, sign up for Nanaimo Recycles app to get your customised collection calendar and reminders.

If you didn't receive your calendar, you can also sign up to receive your calendar in the mail.

Using the Nanaimo Recycles app

Residents who live in Nanaimo and receive our curbside collection service (City of Nanaimo branded carts), can use the Nanaimo Recycles app to find their collection calendar.

Enter your address in the search bar below to review your customised collection schedule.
