Bowen Park Offices, Lower Level, Pine Street Entrance

This mural celebrates Bowen Park, inviting curiosity about the life and relationships in the park– plant, animal, and human. To ignite the imaginations of park visitors and reach communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, artist Sean Anderson created a series of colouring pages to accompany the line-drawn mural.

Bowen Park is part of an interconnected network of urban parks in Nanaimo, reflecting the coexistence of our community with centuries of plant and animal life on Vancouver Island. With attention to our surroundings, we look forward to years of connections among the guests in the Park who cherish and care for the land.
