Project Description

Phase 1 of the Townsite Area Utility Upgrades includes the replacement of approximately 3,600m of Cast Iron watermain and 560m of Concrete sanitary sewer. Upgrading these utilities will improve capacity, reliability, and improve drinking water quality.

The work will take place in various locations and is expected to last approximately 12 months. The areas/street where utility upgrades will be completed are shown in the attachment below "Project Area".

General Considerations

• During this construction period, traffic disruptions can be expected and detours may be in effect. Road closures (local traffic only) for work on quiet streets will be utilized.

• Workhours are Monday to Friday, 7am - 6pm.

• Every effort will be made to keep local disruptions to a minimum.

• Construction signs will be posted and flagpersons will be on duty to manage the traffic flow.

• Please exercise caution, obey all signage placed for your safety and follow the directions of the flagpersons on duty.

• If you have young children, please advise them of the dangers and limited visibility of heavy equipment and trucks.

Construction Value: $5,715,300.00
