Nanaimo Puts Food Trucks on the Menu!

Food truck businesses can apply March 1, 2016 to the City of Nanaimo for a Business Licence as a Mobile Food Vendor that will allow them to operate on city streets in designated parking spaces and in select city parks.
Council has approved more than 12 on-street parking spaces for food truck businesses (primarily downtown) and 24 spaces in park locations throughout the city for food truck or food trailer vendors.
To ensure successful implementation of this new policy, the business licence bylaw amendment allows for a one-year review of the food truck licensing process and the locations.
