Residents of Nanaimo are reminded that voting ends at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, with preliminary election results being made available as soon as possible after that. Results can be viewed on the City of Nanaimo website and on CivicInfo BC.

Residents are invited to come out and see results immediately as they become available at the Shaw Auditorium at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre, 80 Commercial Street.

Advance Voting Turn Out:

The November 5 and 12 Advance Voting Opportunities brought out a record number of voters. For comparison, here are the numbers from previous years:

  • 2005: 1507 voters
  • 2008: 1390 voters
  • 2011: 1663 voters
  • 2014: 2262 voters
