Job Summary

Lifeguard Instructors carry out lifeguarding/instructional duties and are responsible for the supervision and control of activities, safety standards, and cleanliness of aquatic facilities.

Requirements

Applicants will have completed Grade 10, and have the following qualifications:

  • Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification

  • C.P.R. “C” Certification

  • National Lifeguard Certification (Pool Option)

  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check

Compensation and Benefits

These are unionized positions, starting at $20.52 per hour. There are no guaranteed hours associated with these positions. Extensive weekend and evening work may be required in addition to weekday shifts.
