Building Permit Inspection Request

Important Information Before Submitting:

Inspections requested by 4:00 p.m. of any business day will be carried out the next business day. Please note, due to the volume of inspections, we do not book times.

Where more than 2 inspections are necessary when 1 inspection is normally required, a re-inspection charge of $150.00 plus tax shall be paid prior to each additional inspection. Inspectors can arrive any time after 9 a.m. on the inspection day. Work that is not ready may be subject to a re-inspection fee. Inspection requests should be made only if the work will be ready for inspection by 9 a.m. Note that inspections on Protection Island will only be done on Tuesdays.

No work that requires inspection shall be concealed until a building inspector has inspected it and accepted it in writing.

All aspects of the work requiring inspection and acceptance must have been both inspected and accepted by the building inspector in order to pass the Final Inspection or have an Occupancy Certificate issued (applies only in the case of new residential builds).
