Description

McGregor Park is a part of the larger Nanaimo Harbour Front Walkway located directly across from the Port Theatre. It is an inviting space, which acts as a gateway between Nanaimo's waterfront and the downtown core. It features grass area for seating, specialty plantings, benches, and a small amphitheatre. A small plaza meets Front Street and is used as a temporary public art site.

The waterfront trail is fully accessible and a popular year round destination.

A cairn and time capsule were erected in the park in 1982 to remember all the Scottish immigrants who made Nanaimo their home since 1852.
