Water main break on Sixth Street

UPDATE: Public Works crews responded to the water main break quickly and the failed section of the pipe was replaced with a new piece. The break occurred just after 3:00 PM Friday, March 25 and water was back on to the neighbourhood just after 6:30 PM, with the road reopening shortly after.

ORIGINAL POST: A water main break has occurred on Sixth Street, between Winchester Avenue and Bruce Avenue. Sixth Street will be closed until further notice and water service to residents in the immediate vicinity will be temporarily affected. Bruce Avenue and Winchester Avenue are both open for vehicle traffic. City crews are on site performing repairs. Please use alternate routes.
