$85,000 in funding available for local non-profits and neighbourhood groups

Summary

Beginning October 8, 2021, the City of Nanaimo will be accepting applications for the 2022 Social Planning Grant Program. A total of $85,000 is available under two separate grant categories: Community Vitality Grants and Social Response Grants. Community Vitality Grants are intended to support small projects with a total budget of typically less than $5,000. Social Response Grants are intended to support larger initiatives. Total funding available for each grant is as follows:

Ongoing operational expenses cannot be funded through the grants.
