Section of Bruce Avenue to close for street upgrades

Bruce Avenue, between 5th and 6th Streets will be closed to through traffic from August 26, 2019 to September 13, 2019 for road upgrading. This work is being done in conjunction with the developer of 601 Bruce Avenue and includes re-profiling of the road for better sight lines, concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk, street lighting and new street markings.

Key Points

A detour using Howard Avenue will be in place 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.
Bruce Avenue between 5th and 6th Street will be closed to through traffic from August 26, 2019 to September 13, 2019.
Pedestrians can be escorted through the site, but as this is an active construction site, will need to wait for a traffic control person to provide guidance.
