City Water Parks Now Open

The City of Nanaimo, Department of Parks & Recreation is pleased to announce the opening of the water parks. Nanaimo has four throughout the City, including at Deverill Square Park, Departure Bay Park, Harewood Centennial Park and Mansfield Park.

Every spring, City staff work to prepare the water parks for opening by testing the pipes, cleaning the features and making sure everything is in working order, and this year, with the warmer weather, they re-organized some priorities in order to get the water parks open earlier than usual.

Water parks are open daily from 9 am to 8 pm.

"Water parks are a popular feature in our parks, and we are happy to be able to get them open earlier than usual with the warmer weather", says Al Britton, Manager of Parks.
