Interested in running for Council? Attend a Candidate Information Session

Summary

On Saturday, October 20, 2018 voters in the City of Nanaimo will elect a new council consisting of one Mayor and eight Councillors. Two local government candidate information seminars will be held on Wednesday, August 29 and Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 6 to 8 pm in the Vancouver Island Conference Centre.

The purpose of the seminars is to provide potential candidates with information regarding the role and expectations of Mayor and Council for the City of Nanaimo, including how to become a candidate, what's involved in becoming an elected official and other matters of interest to anyone seeking to be elected to Council.

Those interested in becoming candidates are encouraged to attend one of the sessions.
