City to host Family Day weekend activities

Summary

This Family Day holiday weekend, the City of Nanaimo is celebrating family play with special family-focused events. The fourth annual Family Play Day will be held on Sunday, February 7 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm at Oliver Woods Community Centre.

This year's activities will feature a Super Hero theme and include a super hero training centre, gym games and activities for kids of all ages, storytelling and interactive puppet shows, lego land, superhero crafts, bouncy castle, face painting and balloon animals. Families are encouraged to dress up as their favourite super hero.

On Family Day, Monday, February 8, Nanaimo Ice Centre and Nanaimo Aquatic Centre will be open for special skating and swimming events; all other City facilities will be closed for the holiday. Check the Public Schedules on the City website.
