Council to appoint Interim City Manager as first step

Summary

A meeting held this morning by all members of Nanaimo's City Council has established a two part process for filling the organization's lead administrative role.

As the first step, Council will appoint an Interim City Manager following which the second step, searching for a permanent candidate to fill the position, will commence. To oversee the recruiting process, an Executive Hiring Committee has been created whose membership includes all members of Council.
