City, Regional District and BC Hydro Partner to Offer Clothes Washer Rebates
Nanaimo and area customers can receive up to $200 on eligible washers

Summary
The City of Nanaimo, Regional District of Nanaimo and BC Hydro are joining forces to offer their customers a rebate for the purchase of eligible ENERGY STAR clothes washers. This offer is good for washers purchased from May 1 through June 30 2015. Applications for rebates must be submitted within 60 days. Details on applying for rebates and Qualifying Products can be found at www.PowerSmart.ca

Key Points
- Eligible front-loading clothes washers must have a minimum Integrated Modified Energy Factor of 2.76-2.94 and an Integrated Water Factor of 3.5 or less to receive a $100 rebate. Eligible top-loading washers must have an IMEF of 2.30 or higher and an IWF of 4.2 or less to receive a $100 rebate.
- Eligible clothes washers with an IMEF of 2.94 or higher and and IWF of 3.2 or less will be eligible to receive a $200 rebate.
- Applications for rebates should be submitted to BC Hydro, who will administer the program, and process rebates on both parties' behalf.
