Summary

Drivers are advised to be aware of traffic and parking disruptions the week of May 15, 2017 while filming for the television series, Chesapeake Shores takes place. A road closure and limited parking availability will occur in the downtown core and Brechin area.

The City of Nanaimo has a number of parkades available in the downtown core with rates starting at $0.75 for the first two hours up to a maximum of $9.00 for 24 hours and free evenings and weekends. See the www.nanaimo.ca/goto/parking for more information on locations and rates.

Key Points

Filming will take place in the downtown and Brechin areas May 15-18.
A road closure will take place on Skinner Street from Commercial to Bastion Street on Monday, May 15 from 7:00 to 11:00 am.
On-street parking will be limited in the downtown core and in the Brechin area. Drivers are advised to watch for flag-persons.
