Bastion Lighting Colour Purple: Epilepsy & Seizure Education Purple Day on March 26

On March 26th it is National Purple Day; a day started by a 9-year-old girl named Cassidy Megan from Nova Scotia, Canada, who wanted to spread the word that those with epilepsy can lead normal lives and that those witnessing seizures do not have to be afraid. She wanted kids with epilepsy to know they are not alone. In March 2012, Purple Day received the Royal Assent and became a legal day for epilepsy awareness in Canada. There is approximately 360,000 Canadians living with epilepsy and it affects 1 in 100 people worldwide
