Feedback on Strategic Priorities

The public provided plenty of input on Council’s strategic priorities to move Nanaimo forward during a two and a half hour eTown Hall Monday night. Over 100 comments and questions were received via Twitter, Facebook, web form or in-person attendance.

Port Authority Update

Michelle Corfield, Vice Chair and City representative for the Nanaimo Port Authority, provided an update on what has been done over the last year. Points of interest included the Port’s completion of an economic study, an increase in the frequency of meetings between the City and the Port, and the work that is taking place to build strong relationships within the community.
