Swimming Birthday Party Information – Nanaimo Aquatic Centre

Celebrate your child’s birthday at the Nanaimo Aquatic Centre! Swimming birthday parties are a fun and easy way to host a group, with access to the pool and a private room for your party.

Good to Know: Parties take place during Everyone Welcome swim times and should be booked at least two weeks in advance.

Birthday Party Overview

  • Room rentals must be prepaid at the time of booking
  • Regular pool admission rates apply for all swimmers
  • Groups should be kept to 25 swimmers or fewer
  • Payment for pool admission can be made at the front desk before your swim

Room Rental

Jack Little Room A or B are available to be booked for birthday parties.

$17.10/hour + GST (minimum fee)

  • Includes tables, chairs, sink, and counter space
  • No kitchen or appliances are available
  • Please bring a cooler if refrigeration is required
  • Rental time must include setup and cleanup

Setup and Cleanup Responsibilities

  • Renter is responsible for setup and takedown
  • Tables and chairs must be wiped down before leaving
  • All garbage must be bagged and left in the room
  • Extra garbage bags will be provided

Decorations

  • Only painter’s tape (green tape) is permitted
  • No scotch tape or strong adhesives
  • No nails, staples, or thumbtacks allowed

Pool Guidelines

  • Children under 7 must have an adult within arm’s reach
  • All pool safety rules must be followed
  • A wristband system may be used during high-capacity periods
